Who is prepared with his/her Shabe Barat's recipe ?

Shabe Barat is a very special occasion to all muslims. We pray whole night to almighty Allah. We also share happiness among ourselves by sharing and preparing different types of foods. Now it is very common to everyone that our relatives visit us with handful of special halwas,ruti,and other delicious foods.When they come at our place we also offer them whatever we have prepared.But why not think of something different this time? Why not amaze others with your simple but extra ordinary recipes? Shujir halwa , Papaya halwa , plain ruti its very common evrywhere. Why not make yourself popular with your different menu from others? If u think so You can add new items to your menu book. And may be I can help u a li'l bit,if u think so. So what can we prepare?Halwa is must for Shabe Barat.But we can add new items that are not seen many times.So today I am gonna suggest u two of very delicious halwa which u can prepare for Shabe Barat.

1.Tri Fruit Halwa:
                            Ingredients

    1 1/2 cup mango pulp
    1 1/2 cup Orange juice(fresh)
    1 1/2 cup pineapple juice(fresh)
    2 cups Sugar
    1 tsp Cardamom powder
    4 tbsp Ghee (clarified butter)
    10 Cashwenuts (broken in halves)
    10 Raisins (dry grapes)

Directions

    Heat Ghee in a non-stick frying pan. Fry Cashwenuts and Raisins and keep aside.
    Add  Orange and Pineapple juices to the same frying pan.
    When it  boils, add Sugar and Cardamom powder and mix well and let it  boil until 1 string consistency.
    Add Mango pulp. Reduce to Medium heat, stir well & boil till the mixture is thick in consistency.
    Add fried Cashwenuts and Raisins. Mix well & remove from heat.
    Grease a bowl with little Ghee. Pour the mixture into the greased bowl and to cool.
    Tri-Fruits Halwa is ready to be served.


The next recipe is 

2.Moog Dal Halwa:
                               Ingredient             Quantity
                               Moong dhal(split) 1cup
                               Sugar                     2cups
                              Ghee                       3cups
                              Maida                     4tbs
                             Cardamom powder  1/2tsp
                             Edible camphor        a small rice grain size
                             Nutmeg powder       a pinch(optional)
                            Red food color          a pinch
                            Cashews                    4tbs
                            Raisins                     1tbs(optional) 



PROCEDURE : Pressure cook the moong dhal till it becomes mushy and keep it aside.Now heat a wide mouth heavy bottomed pan with 1/2 cup of ghee and fry the maida till the color changes to golden. Add in the cooked moon dhal to it and stir continuously till it becomes thick.At this stage add the sugar,food color and stir it vigorously to avoid the lumpsAdd 1/2 cup of ghee and continue the stirring and maintain a medium flame to prevent burning.Once the mixture become thick add another 1/2 cup of ghee and continue the process till the ashoka leaves the sides of the pan.At this point switch off the stove and add in the cardamom powder, edible camphor and nutmeg powder.Finally add the fried cashews and mix it well.Transfer it to a serving bowl.Delicious mouth watering halwa is ready.
